Soon and Very Soon is an imaginative, grossly entertaining twist on a classic love story about two spiritual leaders in pursuit of love and right relationship with the Lord and the people they lead. This debut novel weaves a believable behind-the-scenes look into the lives of compelling Christian characters not just carictures of "church folk".  It reminds u s to check our motive meter when it comes to our own religion. I recommend this book to any Christian Fiction lover. Sherryle Kiser Jackson is an new author that we really need to keep an eye on!

Soon and Very Soon is soaked with anointing.

Sherryle K. Jackson’s novel is an engaging pageturner that will cause the reader to rediscover their faith and push their egos to the side so that His plans may come to pass. I truly enjoyed Jackson’s debut novel and genuinely look forward to reading more of her work in the future.

Text Box: Synopsis
When Pastors Willie Green and Vanessa Morton got married and moved to merge their churches, they never expected so much resistance. Now it seems someone is sending a strong message by setting fire to the Harvest Baptist Church building.

The newly unified Pleasant Harvest Baptist Church is no more than four months into business as usual before Co-Pastor Willie Green is drawn into the middle of an arson investigation. Alexis Montgomery, an overzealous reporter, sees the experienced pastor as a great source to latch onto as she tries to unearth the stories that might solve the crime. Instead of being bothered by the presence of this woman, Co-Pastor Vanessa uses it as a distraction to help conceal her own secrets.

Orchestrating the unification rift makes Deacon Charley Thompson a prime suspect. His unexpected silence only fuels the accusations of guilt, and his meek wife becomes his unlikely spokesperson. Meanwhile, his nephew, Abe Townsend, couldn’t care less about family allegiances. Led by an anonymous publicist, Abe and the remaining displaced members of Harvest Baptist Church gain notoriety when news reports garner an outcry of sympathy and support.

What should have been a simple unification of two churches has turned into something much more complicated, and it will take plenty of faith to hold it all together.

Text Box: Synopsis

With a chance to confront their past with the hindsight of adulthood, The Manual, takes a realistic look into the lives of two unequally-yoked high school sweethearts who must forgive and forget to raise their teenaged son.
Text Box: Synopsis

Everyone thought the ten month courtship and marriage between Willie Green, the strait-laced pastor of the traditional Harvest Baptist church, and Vanessa Morton, the dynamo preacher-pastor from the contemporary Mt. Pleasant Baptist church, was too soon. Neither pastor realized that after the nuptials, all heck would break loose as they planned to combine their respective churches. The honeymoon abruptly comes to an end as Willie tries to maintain control of his congregation as the staunch Deacon, Charley Thompson, and a group of dissenters go to extreme lengths to keep their religious routine going at Harvest. Meanwhile, Vanessa struggles with the new balancing act of being a competent co-pastor and a nurturing first lady to her husband. The price of having too much too soon leads them both to deal in their own way with letting go of the way things used to be.
